I know some people won't believe this, but it's true: I have built myself a computer - at age nine!
My dad is working on a course called "Maintaining and Upgrading Personal Computers", and needed photographs to show how a computer goes together. Since he was taking the photographs, he couldn't build it himself, and what's more, he wanted to show how easy it is to build - so I got the job. And here are the photographs to prove it:
Me with all the parts before starting work
Inserting the motherboard
Attaching the switch and LED wires from the front panel
Clipping the heatsink and fan onto the processor
Pushing the floppy disk drive through the front panel
Sliding the DVD drive into place
Attaching the bracket on the video card
This is what it all looks like inside
Putting the last screw in the cover
Installing Red Hat Linux 9
(Victoria's dad says: It's true - Victoria connected every cable, inserted every screw, and built the whole thing. I didn't do any of it).
